HOURCAR members are green, fit, and flush

HOURCAR may be in the car business, but our mission is to help people drive less, not more. Most car sharers use cars less often and more efficiently. Studies have shown that each shared car removes between 5 and 20 cars from the roadway, meaning less congestion, less pollution, and a better environment.

We are also the greenest car share in the world (we’re pretty sure of this), with a fleet made up entirely of ultra low emission vehicles (ULEVs) and partial zero emission vehicles (PZEVs), most of which are hybrids, with a couple of solar-powered plug-in hybrids to boot. So even when you are driving, you are driving efficiently!

And green is not just for the environment: many HOURCAR members report selling their cars or not needing to purchase new cars, walking and biking more, and spending less money on transportation.

serve fuel, relieve traffic congestion, and reduce demand for parking space.
